Our Eco-friendly Materials

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Upcycled Seatbelts

Produced to tight specifications, seat belts are a durable material. In the production process, some sections end up just not fit enough for their initial safety purpose and become the discarded material of choice for our rugged RE-BELT bag collection.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Responsible Fabric

The lining fabric of RE-BELT bags is produced near their manufacturing site by a company certified for creating textiles in environmentally friendly facilities, under safe and socially responsible working conditions, using materials tested for harmful substances.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Renewable Cork Fabric

Harvested from the bark of cork oak trees, cork is a renewable material used as basis for the making of the main go-to textile for eKodoKi’s sophisticated KWORK bag collection: Cork Fabric – a pliable surface that retains the natural texturized beauty of raw cork.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Renewable Hanji Textile

Harvested from the bark of mulberry tree, hanji is a renewable material used as basis for the making of the structural fabric for eKodoKi’s sophisticated KWORK bag collection: Hanji Textile – a water repellent and light eco-friendly alternative to animal leather and petrochemical ‘vegan leather’.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Recycled Nylon

Made from pre-consumer waste, and aimed at reducing waste to landfills and preserving petroleum resources, the material used for the lining of bags from the KWORK collection is “MIPAN© regen™” recycled Nylon fabric, GRS certified (Global Recycle Standard).

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Pure Wool Felt

Luxurious, durable, renewable, and biodegradable, 100% natural wool felt is eKodoKi’s favourite material for its WOOLI collection of soft and thick bags & accessories to carry and protect electronics hardware and other belongings.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Recyclable Aluminium

Unlike plastic, aluminium is recyclable ad aeternam; nearly 75% of aluminium ever produced is still used today. Recycling aluminium saves 95% of the energy required to produce it from raw materials. Aluminium is eKodoKi’s choice for our keyrings and some of our bags hardware.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Recyclable Stainless Steel

With up to 70% of the product coming from recycled materials, stainless steel uses scrap metal as its main raw material. Designated ‘stainless’ because it does not rust, it is a material of choice for eKodoKi’s beverage containers and cutlery, as well as most of our bags hardware.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

FSC Certified Wood Veneer

Harvested from responsibly managed forests meeting standards set by the non-profit Forest Stewardship Council, diverse types of FSC certified wood have been selected for eKodoKi's sunglasses collection made of layered veneer.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Renewable Bamboo

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant, thus the perfect renewable material. Strong enough to build scaffolds, bridges and houses, bambou is eKodoKi's choice for its portable lifestyle accessories such as lunchboxes and toothbrushes.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Durable Ceramic

Ceramics is not only one of the oldest materials used for food and beverages in human history, but also the most durable. Re-usable daily ad infinitum, it is a perfect solution against single-use plastic and paper products, such as eKodoKi’s cups and mugs.

EKODOKI MATERIAL

Atoxic Glass

At eKodoKi, we favour glass for utensils such as lunchboxes, reusable bottles, insulated cups, and tea infusers – since this 100% natural product is not only environmental-friendly, but also not releasing any chemical that would otherwise end up in our bodies.
